Raybus Oct 2014 – Date.

Launching my own company on 1st October 2014, I am now in my 11th Year of business. Offering my retouching and visualising services to Advertising, Marketing Agencies and various businesses direct. Mainly focusing on image based projects Raybus does undertake any and all Studio needs.

Amazing Spider April 2012 – Sept 2014. As a member of Amazing Spider, a founding member and part of the senior team, I was involved in group wide image solutions. Including CGI, Photography, and all aspects of Retouching. I was involved in handling briefs and ensuring work was completed on time. I was a contact within the company and was regularly involved with introducing ourselves to new clients and presenting our work. My time was spent between our studios and office in EC1. I handled image based jobs within the agency studios and personally produced work as well as liaising with the Art Directors and Project Managers.

JWT studio Sept 2010 – April 2012 While at JWT my remit was to build and consolidate the Retouching and Reprographics area of the internal studio. This primarily involved installing work flows that would standardise all elements of the image side of the studios workload. Along with one other colleague I was involved in all aspects of the retouching required by the agency, working on Nokia, Duplo, Harvester, Toby, Toni and Guy, HSBC and Rolls Royce. I would advise the agency of all aspects of reprographics and the impact of different publication profiles on certain subjects, and the ways to overcome them.

Loveurope March 2004 – Sept 2010 This time at Loveurope was spent working on all aspects of the Image and Reprographics offering for the company. Liaising with internal PM’s to satisfy schedules and ensure all items were completed to time. Working on clients such as John Lewis and TKmaxx. During this time I was the senior retoucher for the group and regularly covered satellite studios when projects demanded. During this time I regularly worked in BMB on McCain, Yorkshire Tea, ING, Carling amongst others.

Soul Sept 2003 – March 2004 While at Soul a small BBH breakaway agency, I was tasked with running the studio. I worked alongside 2 others to cover all studio needs. My day to day duties included satisfying all image requirements and getting involved with all studio services. The clients included, Fanta, 5 Alive, Harveys and EA sports. Pitch work and late nights were the order of the day as the agency tried to increase in size. The agency was eventually bought by Nitro in March 2004.

Mccann Erickson June 1998 – Sept 2003. Working in the large internal studio, I was the Senior retoucher managing 2 collegues. My team was responsible for all aspects of retouching within the agency. Working with the Studio Manager and head typographer to ensure briefs were correctly interpreted and all work was done to time and to brief. We worked alongside art directors on clients including Coca-Cola, UPS, American Airlines, Walls, Walls Ice cream, L’Oréal, Maybelline, Strepsils amongst others.

Crafthouse Sept 1991 – June 1998 My time here was spent learning the business. I was involved in typesetting and finished artwork including PMT camera operation. When Reprographics became accessible to the mac I was tasked in starting up a department with a scanner and film outputter. I built this department along with a scanner operator to service our clients, which included, Volvo Cars, British Gas and Marks and Spencer. During this time I became more interested and involved with Retouching on the Mac.
